On the World Kindness Day, the Regional Governor of Plovdiv Region – Mr. Zdravko Dimitrov, held a formal meeting with the Consul Club’s Diplomats in Plovdiv, represented by the President of the Club – the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv – Mr. Hüseyin Ergani, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Italy – Mr. Giuseppe Francesco, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania – Mr. Artistiro Dimo, the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany – Mrs. Mariana Cholakova, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of France – Ms. Teofana Bradinska-Angelova , the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Ukraine – Mr. Dimitar Georgiev, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova – Mr. Veselin Chipev, the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic – Mr. Ivan Sokolov and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia – Mr. Ehiyazar Uzunyan. The official meeting was attended by the Deputy Regional Governors of Plovdiv Region – Ms. Evelina Apostolova, Mr. Petar Petrov and Mr. Dimitar Kerin, as well as the Chief Secretary of Regional Administration – Plovdiv – Mr. Borislav Dimov.
During the event, all participators expressed their gratitude for the support and the cooperation with the Regional Governor, while acknowledging the contribution of the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv to the re-establishment of the Club of Consuls in Plovdiv, established in 2006. Mr. Hüseyin Ergani made a short statement about the work and the activities of the Club in 2018, highlighting the celebration of the International Mother Language Day in Plovdiv on February, 21st in Regional Administration – Plovdiv and the presentation of the 26 languages spoken in Plovdiv. The Consul Club is planning the following events in the year 2019: marking the International Mother Language Day, which is in the schedule of the Cultural Calendar of Plovdiv; organizing a charity bazaar between March, 10th and 20th; providing a skiing camp for young people; arranging an excursion to Edirne and closer destinations for persons from the Home for Elderly People in Plovdiv. The Regional Governor approved the activities and stated his willingness to cooperate in terms of coordination and implementation of the program.
At the end of the meeting, the Regional Governor of Plovdiv Region was awarded by the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Plovdiv – Mr. Hüseyin Ergani with a badge for Honorary Member of the Consul Club in Plovdiv, and Mr. Zdravko Dimitrov expressed his gratitude for the honor and the fruitful meeting, giving to the members of the Consul Club in Plovdiv a plaquette with the sign of the institution he represents.
