The Regional Governor Zdravko Dimitrov met with HE Bea Ten Tusscher – Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bulgaria.
He made a brief presentation of Plovdiv Region, noting that it is the fastest growing economic area in Bulgaria and presented the investment opportunities offered by the industrial zones near Plovdiv. The Regional Governor presented the opportunities for cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries.
HE Bea Ten Tusscher thanked for the opportunity to meet regional government officials and showed interest in a partnership in the field of agriculture and education. The meeting was attended by the Rector of the Agricultural University – Prof. Hristina Yancheva and Prof. Vladislav Popov who proposed experts from the two countries to join their efforts to create a strategy for the development of bio resources and the food industry and to create a regional hub in partnership with Dutch agrarian universities.
At the end of the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Governors Petar Petrov and Dimitar Kerin, and the Chief Secretary – Borislav Dimov, the Regional Governor Zdravko Dimitrov gave to the HE Bea Ten Tusscher a plaquette of Regional Administration – Plovdiv, and the representatives of the Agricultural University – a bottle of white wine of its own production.
