The Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry of Bulgaria Rumen Porodzanov, together with his Chinese colleague, Han Changfu, opened a contact office of the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association.
The contact office will handle the logistics center and kiosk for e-commerce with agricultural and other products between the countries under the 16+1 Initiative. The center is located in Trakia Economic Zone, one of the biggest economic projects in Bulgaria, a public-private partnership that includes six major industrial zones in the region of Plovdiv. The platform enables e-commerce between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans.
During the opening, the Chinese Minister underlined the high quality of Bulgarian wines. “Besides wine, Bulgaria could also produce planting material for vineyards,” added Mr. Khan. “Bulgaria has great products and we are glad that they will have even better access to the Chinese market now,” said Roumen Porodzanov.
